We all know the Information Superhighway can be a confusing, distracting road to travel but it can get us where we need to go. Scientists tell us that older Americans who spend time on the Internet are 30 percent less likely to experience depression than those who don’t. It’s an interesting finding, since much of what we read is about the dangers of the Internet. Well, it turns out that the dangers are real, too. Internet scams are a real concern, as is the threat of social isolation if someone goes online to the exclusion of face-to-face meetings.
